Wettenhalls Drivers Scoop NatRoad Awards! 13/09/2011 10:14am

Wettenhalls very own William (Bill) Watson and Lachie Ellis have done us proud, in the finals of the NatRoad Professional Driver of the Year and Transport Youth Awards last week at the NatRoad conference in Townsville.

Bill picked up the Professional Driver of the Year against a strong field of national contenders. Bill has provided 50 years of service to the transport industry of which 36 have been with our company!

During that period Bill has never had an accident!

He now automatically goes into the Australian Trucking Association (the peak industry body) "Transport Professional of the Year" awards.

Lachie achieved runner up in the Transport Youth Award against some very solid competition from around the country. Lachie started work washing trucks at the Colac yard as a kid and then worked in the yard before commencing his driving career.

We congratulate Bill and Lachie on winning their awards and "making us proud"!!
