Westvic Container Export and Wettenhalls...On track for Victoria 07/06/2010 04:31pm

The Wettenhalls Group is one of Australia’s leading national providers of fully integrated ‘end to end’ logistics services. Established over 80 years ago with one truck and one customer, today we span the entire country with a national network, a large fleet, expansive warehouse capabilities and over 500 employees. And we’re continuing to build on our successes. 

As part of that growth, Wettenhalls is very pleased to announce the union of the Wettenhalls Group and Warrnambool’s Westvic Container Export Services. 

Already a successful, well established company in its own right, Westvic has been providing the region an excellent level of service for many years. Now, by joining forces, and with the significant (and continued) financial investment made by Wettenhalls, the partnership will be able to grow and build on the many existing strengths. 

The partnership of Westvic and Wettenhalls will take full advantage of Westvic’s rail capabilities, opening up an extremely efficient, safe and environmentally friendly way to move goods from Warrnambool and the Western Region of Victoria to Melbourne’s ports and throughout the country via the Wettenhalls network.

Beyond environmental, efficiency and service level benefits, the new partnership will also economically benefit the region; increased capacity will encourage business activity and investment in the local area, promoting growth in the local economy. 

Wettenhalls intends to continue to invest in the regional community. Westvic has been an integral part of the Western Region for many years, with Warrick Lofts, Westvic’s Managing Director and his team enjoying many strong relationships with both local business and the local community.
