Narbethong bushfires

On the 17 & 18th of February, teams from our Bayswater operations were involved in a significant support effort to help bushfire survivors up at Narbethong.

A sterling effort by all involved resulted in our being able to deliver a semi-trailer of household goods to the people of the triangle of Narbethong, Marysville and Buxton.

A 6m x 24m marquee was erected on Tuesday by Turner Hire, whilst the Wettenhalls team travelled around collecting goods from over 14 points across Melbourne. Amongst the items delivered were a whole houseful of furniture and other goods from a deceased estate, as well as clothes, household goods, kitchenware, toys, school supplies, shoes for all ages, prams, portacots, play-gyms and the 'piece de resistance', 8 pallets of new tools provided by Dahlsen's.

The organisers including the Premier John Brumby (who was there assisting with the unloading) have offered their sincere thanks to Wettenhalls for its assistance.
